Lemon loaf cake was this weeks selection from Baking with Julia. I love lemon so, this is the perfect selection for Spring. A simple glaze of lemon juice and sugar would be wonderful with this cake. Thanks to Truc of Treats and Michelle of The Beauty of Life for hosting this week.

Pizza Rustica was the selection from Baking With Julia. I love recipes with the word rustica in the name. It's always a plus for me when working with pastry dough, even when it doesn't turn out perfect it's still alright. First, let me say that this pizza is really more like a quiche. Second, I wasn't sure that I would like it. I followed the recipe pretty closely. I left out a tad of the sugar in the crust and added some sliced mushrooms. I was pleasantly surprised at how good it was. It would be great for a light meal any time of the day.
