Pizza Rustica TWD
Pizza Rustica was the selection from Baking With Julia. I love recipes with the word rustica in the name. It's always a plus for me when working with pastry dough, even when it doesn't turn out perfect it's still alright. First, let me say that this pizza is really more like a quiche. Second, I wasn't sure that I would like it. I followed the recipe pretty closely. I left out a tad of the sugar in the crust and added some sliced mushrooms. I was pleasantly surprised at how good it was. It would be great for a light meal any time of the day. I'm glad it was a hit with you. I like "rustica"s too.
This dough was definitely a pleasure to work with and it took a lot of abuse :-)
