Sour Cream Chocolate Cake Cookies

This weeks recipe selection for Tuesdays With Dorie is Sour Cream Chocolate Cake Cookies.  That is a really long name for these very simple cookies.  They taste very much like  devils food cake with a little spice added in. I also added in some dried cranberries instead of the raisins.  Please follow Dories suggestion and store them with a layer of wax paper between the layers because they get very sticky after setting overnight.  Thanks to Spike of Spike Bakes for picking this tasty recipe.  I loved the idea of making them into ice cream sandwiches.

I'm definitely doing ice cream sandwiches or whoopie pies the next time I make these! :) Yours look great!

I filled mine with cinnamon marshmallow fluff filling and they were excellent. They were a little plain otherwise. I like cranberries, so I bet that was a good addition!
